How I Work

A steady, thoughtful, and direct approach

Coaching creates space to think clearly—often for the first time in a long time.

I’m not here to give you answers. I believe most leaders already have good instincts; the challenge is having the space to think them through clearly.

My work is shaped by more than two decades supporting leaders in complex, high-stakes environments.

What you can expect

Space to think
A place to step back, think out loud, and work through what matters most.

Looking beneath the surface
We’ll explore patterns, assumptions, and dynamics that aren’t always immediately visible, yet often shape how you lead.

Thoughtful challenge
We won’t stay at the surface. I’ll offer perspective and challenge when it’s useful, helping you see things in a new way.

Connected to your day-to-day
Our conversations stay grounded in your real work—decisions you’re navigating, conversations you need to have, and relationships that matter.

“She pushes us to think more deeply about how our actions and reactions shape outcomes.”

WHAT I OFFER

Leadership coaching

Coaching that helps you:

  • See what you’re not seeing
  • Cut through the noise and stay focused on what matters most
  • Work through relationships and dynamics that don’t have easy solutions
  • Respond to challenges with greater steadiness
  • Lead in a way that doesn’t leave you depleted

Working with teams

I also partner with leadership teams navigating complexity together.

This work includes:

  • creating space for more open and productive conversations, especially when issues have gone unspoken
  • working through tension, misalignment, or periods of change
  • helping teams clarify priorities, roles, and ways of working
  • using assessments to bring greater visibility to team dynamics

The goal is to help teams better understand how they are working together and what may need to shift

WHERE I HELP MOST

Where leaders often begin

Stepping into a larger role
The expectations have shifted - what got you here isn’t quite enough anymore. You may be preparing for a broader scope or stepping into more strategic conversations.

Leading in uncertainty
You’re making decisions without clear answers, often with competing priorities.

Navigating complex relationships
Stakeholder dynamics, team tension, or organizational ambiguity are making progress harder. You may be working to influence, be heard, or strengthen key relationships.

Rebuilding confidence
You’re second-guessing yourself more than you used to or working through feedback that has stayed with you.

Sustaining yourself in the role
The pace and pressure are constant, and you’re looking for a way to lead effectively without depleting yourself.

WHAT LEADERS NOTICE

In their own words

I’ve worked with several coaches over the course of my career, and none were as instrumental to my growth as Amy.

She helped me fundamentally reshape how I lead, strengthening my self-awareness, decision-making, and ability to lead with clarity and confidence.

Her insight, presence and ability to challenge and support made a lasting difference in how I show up as a leader.

Christopher Awtrey, MD, Associate Chief Medical Officer Surgical and Procedural Specialties, Intermountain Health, Peaks Region

Amy led a weekly group coaching experience early in my career as I was developing my leadership skills. She has a unique ability to create an environment where people feel comfortable being vulnerable, while also pushing us to think more deeply about how our actions and reactions shape outcomes. The group format made the experience especially valuable—I learned from my peers as much as from Amy.

I left with practical tools that improved how I lead conversations and support others. I continue to approach both successes and setbacks as learning opportunities, with greater reflection and accountability. Amy’s guidance has had a lasting impact on how I show up as a leader today.

David Sontag JD, Executive Director, Clinical Ethics for Beth Israel Lahey Health

Amy’s coaching was instrumental in both my leadership growth and well-being.

As I transitioned from early to mid-career leadership in an academic medical setting, she helped me identify new opportunities and key blind spots.

Our work together became a springboard to the next level.

ABOUT ME

I bring a steady, grounded presence to leaders navigating complex challenges.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across healthcare, financial services, and other high-stakes environments, supporting leaders as they navigate complexity, make consequential decisions, and lead through constant change.

Having worked inside complex organizations, I understand the pressures that often sit just beneath the surface of leadership roles.

I create a space that is both thoughtful and direct, supportive but not passive, where leaders can step back, think clearly, and see patterns that may not be immediately visible.

My background includes more than 25 years in leadership and organizational effectiveness, along with training and certification through the International Coaching Federation (ACC) and a range of leadership and assessment tools.
